BTU offers stacking equipment for metal sheets mostly installed after a shear or press. At high production speeds the blanks are magnetically clamped and accurately placed on a pallet.

BTU blank stacking equipment guarantees no product damages by use of soft head pusher ejection through which the blank edge is not touched. This handling is ideal for tailor welded blanks, but also other quality-minded customers can be supplied.

The blank stacker consists of a large, solid frame with a lower conveyor belt to take the blank out of the shear or press and a higher conveyor belt to move the blank above the pallet. Several pushers on a bank push the blank at the correct moment of the conveyor belt onto the pallet. This all happens at very high production speeds with a very good stack quality. By means of 2 lifts with pallets, it is possible to stack multiple stacks of blanks on one table and meanwhile unload the other with a forklift truck which ensures continuous production. Each lift table can accept up to four stacks with a gap between each stack variable to suit production requirements.

The stacker is controlled by a PLC and additional operator PC with optimising software package to generate the most efficient production.

BTU offers blank stackers for every situation. BTU offers different types of blank stackers; the Budget Eco-Stacker and Automotive blank stacker. Besides magnetic versions, these stackers are offered in vacuum or hybrid versions to run aluminium and steel on the same line. However, BTU offers a turn-key solution to your specific situation.

The BTU Budget Eco-Stacker

The budget eco-stacker is a relatively uncomplicated industrial stacking system with a very practical and flexible set-up. Even though the budget eco-stacker deals with smaller blanks (up to square 2000mm per table) it has many important possibilities a larger stacker has, such as height adjustment to deal with different tool out feed heights through push button control, adjustment of insertion length of the different bottom belt sections to the cutting edges, and adjustment of pusher beams.

The budget eco-stacker offers the possibility to move the complete stacker by crane behind another press or shear, or use it as a side-stacker instead of an end stacker.

The discharge system consists of two lift tables intended to load and unload by forklift. When the lift section of one station is loaded with blanks the other is lowered automatically for unloading. In the mean time the first station can be loaded to ensure continuous production of the line.

Automotive Blank Stacker

Opposite to the Budget eco-stacker, thhe Automotive blank stacker can deal with larger blanks (up to 2000 x 5000mm per station) with the same high production speed and precision. The BTU Automotive blank stacker is a flexible, completely automated stacking system able to handle both, very small and large blanks accurately at high production speeds. Additionally, the automotive blank stacker adjusts all set-up parameters automatically and is equipped with an automated discharge system.

On both lifts in addition to the side drive with the chains, a servo driven trolley moves the chain conveyor of the lift with the pallet on top, more accurately to the requested position in length. The belts of both the bottom and top conveyors are also individually motorised in width so they can suspend every strand in an optimal way.

The blanks originally intended for a side stacker can be separated from the other blanks through individual pusher control and then stacked on the same lift under the end-stacker. The stacker can also stack up to six stacks sideways, and 8 stacks lengthways on one lift or produce the intended products with their laser welding edge parallel to the pallet edge in order to avoid re-stacking.
